Kathryn Greatorex joined Rickaby Thompson Associates Ltd in 2006 as a graduate in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia.

During her studies Kathryn developed a particular interest renewable energy technologies, looking particularly at practical issues of energy efficient building construction and domestic energy technologies. Kathryn's final year dissertation reported research into solar water heating, monitoring the performance of systems and consumer attitudes to them.

Kathryn is an Authorised SAP Assessor through the National Home Energy Rating (NHER) scheme and is a Competent Person for carbon dioxide emissions calculations under the Building Regulations, via the Faero Competent Persons scheme.

She has particular experience of Building Regulations, Part L1B (2006) compliance assessments of refurbishment, extension and change-of-use proposals for existing dwellings.
